Maria Amélia Carvalho is a teacher of English as a Foreign Language, Translation methodologies and Specialised Translation in the Humanities at the University of Minho at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She also works as a freelance translator and BabeliUM (Foreign Languages Centre of University of Minho), whose translation and interpretation services she currently supervises. Concomitantly, she is a researcher at the Centre for Humanistic Studies of the University of Minho (CEHUM), a research unit of the Institute of Arts and Humanities at the University of Minho, and an active member of the research group GAPS - Gender, Arts and Post-Colonial Studies.
