
Julieta Flores Jurado
Julieta Flores Jurado recently completed a doctoral degree in English at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She works as a lecturer at the BA Program in Modern Languages and Literatures at the same university, and participated in a research group focused on translation and multiculturalism. She is the author of book chapters and articles on contemporary Irish and British Poetry: her most recent publications include “‘An intricate orbit about her’: poética y autorreflexividad en Boland, Meehan y McGuckian” (“‘An intricate orbit about her’: Poetics and Self-reflexivity in Boland, Meehan and McGuckian” in La hoja verde de la lengua: poesía angloirlandesa contemporánea, edited by Mario Murgia, UNAM, forthcoming April 2022), “El ascenso a la superficie: Eurídice en The World’s Wife de Carol Ann Duffy y Retrato de una mujer en llamas de Céline Sciamma” (“The Ascent to the Surface: Eurydice in The World’s Wife by Carol Ann Duffy and Portrait of a Lady on Fire by Céline Sciamma”), and “Pearls, Diamonds, and Coins: Fashioning the Beloved’s Body in Carol Ann Duffy’s Poetry”.
