María do Rosario Casas Coelho

María del Rosario Casas Coelho is a PhD student at Universidad de Burgos, Spain. She has a BA in English and Portuguese and a Masters in the area of Linguistic and Literary Studies both from Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. During her academic path, Rosario spent four months at University of Limerick, Ireland (2014), as part of the research carried out to conclude her Masters. She presented papers in international conferences as AEDEI (Asociación Española de Estudios Irlandeses), ABEI (Brazilian Association of Irish Studies), and SILAS (Society for Irish Latin American Studies) and Doctoral Seminars at Universidad de Burgos, and AEDEAN (Asociación Española de Estudios Anglo Americanos). From 2012 to 2014 she has worked as ABEI’s secretary. She is currently researching the transculturalism on Colum McCann’s fiction and its possible educational outcomes. She teaches English to young learners and adults in Burgos, at The Red Castle Language School.
