Michal Otáhal
Michal Otáhal (*1995) is an MA student of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. His BA thesis juxtaposed the narrators of the novels Invisible Man and Fight Club based on Emersonian and other American principles and philosophies, such as the American dream. Recently, he published a Czech translation of Sarah Perry’s essay “A Sublime Contagion” in the Czech literary periodical PLAV. At the Faculty, he co-established a student society Schwa that provides support for all students of English and American Studies (BA, MA, and PhD), organizes various social events throughout the year, and publishes an annual collection of student creative writing.
