Dr Mariona Sabaté-Carrové is a Senior Lecturer of English language and Translation in the Department of English and Linguistics at the University of Lleida.
She translates specialized texts for publication in academic journals. She has translated Rita Mae Brown’s Rubyfruit Jungle and Songs to a Handsome Woman and E.E. Smith’s Triplanetary into Catalan, which is still to be published. She has co-edited with Lorena Baudo (2021) The Translation Process series. Multiple Perspective from Teaching to Professional Practice. Volume II The Translation Process series. New voices. is underway.
She is a member of the ongoing project “La Traducción audiovisual como recurso didáctico en el aprendizaje de lenguas extranjeras (TRADILEX)” project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, and has been a member of the project “Conocimiento del procesamiento/comprensión y la producción/traducción de cláusulas de relativo en hablantes monolingües y estudiantes.
