Robynne Flynn-Diez (MA, PhD) is a lecturer for the Institute of Translation and Interpreting of Heidelberg University. She studied and received degrees in American and British literature, and German studies; and her PhD was earned in translation studies. She teaches courses on translating children’s literature at the MA level, and general translation courses as well as theory and writing skills at the BA level. Her working language pair is German and English. Her research interests include historical events in translation, for which she has edited two volumes of student translations from German into English, entitled Vignettes: The Legacy of Jewish Laupheim – Autor: Udo Bayer (heiBOOKS, 2017) and The Memory Must Live On – Author: Charlotte Mayenberger (TBA).
