Maria Elena Gherdan teaches Applied Linguistics disciplines, British Culture and Discourse analysis at the Faculty of Letters, University of Oradea, Romania. Being a certified literary translator herself and having considerable experience of teaching English to different age groups, her academic role also includes training philology students in literary and non-literary translations, helping them explore the specificities of the translation of various genres.
