Mohammadreza Hassanzadeh Javanian holds a PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Tehran, Iran. He is a postdoctoral researcher at Freie Universität Berlin. His main research interests include Early Modern English Drama, global adaptations of Shakespeare comparative literature and literary translation. Recently, he has concentrated on Shakespeare’s adaptations in Iran and their position within the country’s social, cultural, and political contexts. His “Titus and Coriolanus in Tehran: Shakespeare’s Roman Plays and Iran’s Politics” appeared in Critical Survey in September 2022.
