Magda Heydel is associate professor and the head of the Centre for Translation Studies at the Faculty of Polish, Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She is editor in chief of Przekładaniec. A Journal of Translation Studies. Her work is mainly in literary translation and translation history. She is also a literary translator from English into Polish.

Charles Armstrong

Charles I. Armstrong is a professor of English literature at the University of Agder (Norway). He is the academic co-director of the Yeats International Summer School, the vice president of the International Yeats Society, and the president of the Nordic Association of English Studies. He is the author of three monographs and a co-editor of five essay collections, as well as a member of the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters.

Maite Fernández

Maite Fernández studied Translation and Interpreting at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and did an MA in Translation and Transcultural Studies at the University of Warwick (UK). She has worked as a translator for various international organisations, mostly within the United Nations system. As a literary translator, she has mainly translated classics (Guy de Maupassant, Edith Wharton, Henry James, Herman Melville, Kate Chopin). In addition to articles on translation, she has published some of her own texts in various journals.

Zsuzsa Csikai is Assistant Professor in the Department of English Literatures and Cultures, Institute of English Studies, University of Pécs, Hungary. She completed her PhD on translations and adaptations of Chekhov’s plays by contemporary Irish playwrights and has published articles on related topics in Hungarian and international publications (e. g. Naoko Toraiwa

Naoko Toraiwa read English at Waseda University (B.A.1976), University of Tokyo (M.A. on Virginia Woolf, 1986) and Sussex University (Ph.D. 2005 on Medbh McGuckian). She has been publishing articles on contemporary Irish writings, including Deirdre Madden, Medbh McGuckian, Paul Muldoon and Sinéad Morrissey. She teaches at Meiji University in Tokyo and she was the president of IASIL Japan (2015-2018).

Neil Murphy

Neil Murphy is Professor of English at NTU, Singapore. His primary research interests include contemporary Irish and world fiction, as well as the relationship between the visual arts and literature. He is the editor of Aidan Higgins: The Fragility of Form (Dalkey Archive Press, 2010). He has co-edited (with Keith Hopper) a special Flann O’Brien centenary issue of the Review of Contemporary Fiction (2011) and The Short Fiction of Flann O’Brien (Dalkey Archive Press, 2013).
